My friend says dreadlocks smell, is this true?

Your friend is clearly mistaken on the matter. If you are a tramp and do not wash your dreadlocks then yes they will smell, just like normal hair would smell if you didnt wash it. Infact there are some conditioning sprays on the market which will make your locks smell heavenly so your friends stereotype of dreadlocks being smelly is without a doubt a false one.
