I have really short hair, can i start my locks?

I personaly started my dreads really short, my hair at longest was five inches and at shortest two inches and i made my locks like this:-p! The first year was a lot of hard work and there were so many furstrating moments however three years on it has payed off big time, as i started my dreads so short they have grown out very tight, very smooth and very sexy meaning that i have tight and very well established dreadlocks.

Everyone raves about growing their hair out before they dread up by i guarentee you that in the long run your get much better results if you start them short:-p.
