My dreads are growing together at the roots, what to do?

This is perfectly natural and if you are growing your dreads through the neglect method then this is probably good news! However if you are wanting to make a nice head of uniformed locks than the best thing you can do is pull it apart and wack a couple of bands on the roots to keep em seperate for the time being - i recall i had such a problem myself and with a lot of time, patience and rubber bands it fixed itself.
