What are these big foam dreadlocks i see everyone wearing?

Foam dreadlocks eh? Foam and synthetic dreads are a style often adorned by cyber goths and although look pretty trendy when they are done well they are pretty expensive, time consuming and look horredous when done by a ametuer.

They are good fun and look great on occassions but are not a permanenet style like real dreadlocks - nothing quite like the real thing:-p.
